We welcome local glass groups to become ISGB Chapters. In order to become an
official chapter, you must pursue interests that are congruent with the mission
statement of the ISGB. Our mission statement follows.
“The mission of the ISGB is to preserve the rich and diverse traditions of the art of glass
bead making and glass working techniques; promote educational initiative and
professional development; and encourage innovative use of complementary media
among artists and craftspeople
This is a list of things that are required to be a chapter.
- Chapters shall have a mission statement which is in agreement with the mission of ISGB.
- Chapters shall have leadership of at least three members and at least two of them must be current ISGB Members in Good Standing.
- ISGB will provide the Chapter with one free ISGB Membership and the Chapter agrees to provide one free Chapter Membership for use by the ISGB Board.
- ISGB will welcome Chapters to use ISGB’s newsletter, website and social media to announce Chapter sponsored events and the Chapter agrees to welcome the ISGB to use their newsletter, website and social media to announce ISGB sponsored events.
- ISGB will sponsor a “Chapters Auction” on our auction platform once a year. Profits from auction sales to be distributed among the Chapter, the Artist and the ISGB.
- Chapters which are outside the United States and which desire to be a non-profit shall be responsible to properly register according to the laws in their country.
- Leadership of the local group wishing to be an ISGB Chapter shall provide ISGB a completed “Request to be Recognized” form and shall update the information on the form every twelve months. The form will request the following information:
- Name of Chapter
- Location of Chapter
- Mission Statement
- Website and Social Media information
- A list of Chapter leadership indicating which are ISGB Members
- Name, email and cell phone number of Chapter Representative to ISGB
Once recognized the Chapter agrees to display the ISGB Logo on their website, Facebook group and other publications.
Once we have received this information we will add you to our list of chapters.

All International Society of Glass Beadworkers (ISGB) Chapters are invited to participate in the Chapter Showcase.

How to enter: Send your high resolution (minimum 5mb) to dalandrea@isgb.org
Rules:
Only one entry per person—Please do not send them en masse from your chapter—send them singularly.
High resolution (min 5MG) photos with no hands in the picture and some neutral space around the bead. Do not over-crop the image.
Photos must be in focus.
The entry can be from anyone within a chapter whether they are an ISGB member or not.
Every entry is a winner as each will be published in the upcoming Glass
Bead Evolution Magazine (GBE) which is free advertising for the entrant, with full
accreditation to the artist and their photographer, and which is distributed to all paid ISGB members and subscribers.
So, strike up your torch and get creative.

ISGB Chapters SoCal Flame Surfers, New England ISGB, Glass Dragons, Southern Flames & Arizona Glass Bead Society all participated in supporting the cause. Chapters joined the ISGB or they independently held collections that collected over 1200 beads that they donated = that brings us to over 2000 beads. We are stronger together! Chapters may be more your styleThe ISGB comprises many Chapters and they are offering more ways to participate.Southern Flames worked together and although they may be small group - they were stronger together and made a significant impact! Your group can too. #2 Do you like to make a lot of Beads?Members of the Arizona Society of Glass Beadmakers- Beads of Courage BEAD SA RAMAHAMA LAMA DING DONG! The ASGB will be hosting a virtual event on Facebook to help inspire and encourage beadmakers. Sharing weekly video tutorials for bead making ideas along with competitions and giveaways for participants with prizes to be won. There will also be grand prizes for most beads made. 1st place will receive a $100 gift card to Frantz Art Glass, 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $50. #3 Do you want to hang out with Friends and share ideas?Members of The Glass Dragons offer Beads of Courage Virtual Studios where you can join and work together online. These are all day events – stop by to chat or get online while on your torch! #4 Do you want a live event?Members of the Southern California Flame Surfers will be hosting a live bead making session in November for Beads of Courage members from the Children's Hospital of Orange County. And you can join them for this event, held at the Orange County Fine Arts Showcase Gallery in Santa Ana. The So Cal Flame Surfers also meet on the first or second Wednesday of the month in Culver City to make Courage Beads #5 Do you want to Learn about Beads of Courage?And how you can support this amazing Cause all year long.
